A-22 Plantain Abdominal Protection

The A-22 Plantain is a lower abdomen protection module with a mounting system that accepts both vertical and horizontal pouch placement, making it adaptable to different gear configurations. The A-22 Plantain is the utility player of body armor modules: it works standalone for standard coverage and stacks above a groin module for taller users who need to close the gap between plate bag and groin protection. At 120 grams for the cover, it's a lightweight addition to a full-coverage kit. Ballistic inserts available separately.

• Lower abdomen coverage / fills the protection gap between the lower edge of the front plate bags and the groin zone, useful for taller users.
• Standalone or stacked use / runs independently on your carrier or mounts above a groin module to build extended lower-torso coverage.
• Vertical and horizontal pouch placement / the attachment system supports both orientations so you can configure external pouches to match your rig layout.
• Carrier hook-and-loop attachment / mounts to most plate carriers via the front panel hook-and-loop interface.
• Accepts ballistic inserts / aramid or UHMWPE packs drop in for fragment protection (sold separately).

The A-22 Plantain attaches to most plate carriers with a hook-and-loop interface on the front panel. Compatible with the A-18 Skanda Plate Carrier, A-24 Titan 2.0 Plate Carrier, AAPC Mod.3 Plate Carrier, and other carriers with a hook-and-loop front panel. It works in combination with the A-21 Clover Groin Protection or the A-18 ARS Groin Protection for a contiguous lower-torso protection stack.

The A-22 Plantain completes the lower-body tier of the Ars Arma module ecosystem. Stack it above the A-21 Clover Groin Protection or A-18 ARS Groin Protection for full lower-torso coverage with no gaps. The A-21 Gorzhet Neck Protection and A-23 Aylet Shoulder Protection cover the upper zones on the same rig. All modules are sold separately.
